During December 21-31, 2021, CISA member steel manufacturers produced 23.0145 million tons of crude steel, 20.748 million tons of pig iron, 21.5681 million tons of steel products.

          Daily output of crude steel at CISA member steel manufacturers was 2.0922 million tons, up 10.67% from the daily output during December 11-20; daily output of pig iron was 1.8862 million tons, up 15.27% from the daily output during December 11-20; daily output of steel products was 1.9607 million tons, up 7.11% from the daily output during December 11-20.

National Output

          It’s estimated that during December 21-31, 2021, China produced 28.9688 million tons of crude steel, 24.5026 million tons of pig iron, 36.0059 million tons of steel products.

          On daily basis, China produced crude steel of 2.6335 million tons, pig iron of 2.2275 million tons; steel products of 3.2733 million tons.

Inventory

          Finished steel products inventories of CISA members totaled 11.2969 million tons during December 21-31, 2021, down 2.2732 million tons or 16.75% from December 11-20, 2021.
